KELSEY & DARWIN

Kelsey has been throwing a cast net and fishing on the Atlantic coast since she was a kid. When she is not cast netting, Kelsey spends time fly fishing, traveling in search of her next catch, tying flies, exploring the marsh on her skiff, and time with her dog Darwin. Kelsey has a degree in biology and a master’s focused in marine and fisheries science. In addition to her education, she has a background in educating people about coastal environments, local marine creatures, conservation, best fishing practices, and fisheries management. 

Kelsey founded Cast Away because of her passion for fishing, the outdoors, and passing that love on to others. She looks forward to teaching guests about sustainable fishing and how to be a good environmental steward, all while you obtain the skills to catch the fish and shrimp you desire.
